AB Marine Boat Based Whale & Dolphin Watching in Algoa Bay.
AB Marine offer two licensed day trips on our charter yacht with an upper and lower deck and toilet facilities for your convenience. We launch out of the Port of Port Elizabeth at 8.30 in the morning, 12.00 midday and on request in afternoons and for sunset trips.
Our passion and expertise in the marine world and our qualified tour guides will explain in detail about the marine life forms you will see and their seasonal occurence in Algoa Bay. We are specialists in Whale and Dolphins. Join in for an educational adventure and fun for the whole family.

1. Islands Cruise, become part of history.
R650 per person (minimum 6 persons aboard – our shortest trip)
Depart Port and travel straight to St Croix, experience the Addo National Park Islands, Brenton, Jaheel and St Croix, first mentioned by Bartholomew Diaz, a Portuguese navigator whose discovery in 1488 showed the sea way to India, mentioning Algoa Bay the first time. We will see African penguins, whales and dolphins en route. Water and snacks will be provided.
2. Whale and Dolphin sightings
We are licensed to take you as close as 50 meters away from whales and dolphins.
R1200 per person (minimum 6 persons aboard)
On departing from the Port, we will go directly to the the last known sightings of dolphins and last position of Humpback Whales, Southern Right Whales, Brydes Whales or Killer Whales. Once sighted we will spend up to 1.5 hours with the animals watch their behaviour and explain to you in detail what we are observing! Algoa Bay is unique and hosts whales all year long! Water and snacks will be provided.
3. Sardine Run & Whale and Dolphin sightings
R1400 per person (minimum 6 persons aboard)
From January to August we are able to show you Sardine Run activity which provides a rich food source for predators such as Common Dolphins, Brydes Whales and Killer Whales (Orcas). We will spend up to 2 hours with the animals observing their behaviour and describing in detail what is happening underwater and on the surface of the ocean! Algoa Bay is unique and we see whales all year long! Water and snacks will be provided.

PLEASE NOTE: As we are reliant on the weather and wild animals AB Marine cannot guarantee any sightings. AB Marine will do our best to show you as much as possible, however there are days when dolphins and whales are to far out and beyond our reach. No refund will be given if you, on that very rare occasion, do not see dolphins or whales. If your booked and paid for trip is cancelled due to inclement weather you will get a full refund or an alternative date.
