With less than 1,000 individuals left in the country, the humpback dolphin is South Africa’s most endangered dolphin species and the SouSA project is seeking help to do something about it.

Algoa Bay Marine has spotted Humpback Dolphins in Algoa Bay on a number of occasions in the same general area.
How you can help: If you have you ever seen a humpback dolphin in South Africa or have pictures of humpback dolphins in South Africa the SouSA Project is asking you to submit your sightings to the Seafari App (available for iOS and Android).
The SouSA project is an inter-group collaboration on the scientific research on Indian Ocean humpback dolphins in South Africa.
Through data collection and sharing, SouSA aim to assess in detail the conservation status of humpback dolphins along our coastlines, and generate vital information for accurate conservation management.
