So here is a little useless information that is sure to make you wonder; “Why did I read this?”….
My late father used to love singing along to Ge Korsten.
I actually think that he only liked Ge as Ge started out in life as an electrician which my late father was.
I recall that Ge sang at one or other do that my late father attended and he, uncharacteristically, exhibited what we today call “signs of a bromance” after that particular performance.
Anyway – here is Ge singing all about Algoa Baai which I DID NOT know was in his repertoire!

Algoa Bay is a Maritime bay off of the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropole in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. It is located in the east coast, 683 kilometres (424 mi) east of the Cape of Good Hope.
Algoa Bay is bound in the west by Cape Recife and in the east by Cape Padrone. The bay is up to 436 m (1,430 ft) deep. The harbour city of Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) is situated adjacent to the bay, as is the Port of Ngqura deep water port facility.
